Pixel 11 Series Is Official: Every Confirmed Spec, Price and What Changed From the Leaks
Google has officially launched the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Here's every confirmed spec and price, plus what the leaks got right — and wrong.
Google took the stage in New York on August 12 and made the Pixel 11 series official: the standard Pixel 11, the Pixel 11 Pro, the larger Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold. All four are now confirmed and up for pre-order, with general availability landing August 20. Here's what actually shipped, cross-checked against Google's own spec pages — and where the pre-launch leaks turned out to be right or wrong.
Pricing Went Up, and the Entry Tier Doubled
Every model costs more than its Pixel 10 equivalent. The base Pixel 11 starts at $899/£879/€999 — up $100/£80/€100 — but Google also discontinued the old 128GB entry tier across the whole lineup, so the new starting point is 256GB everywhere. The Pixel 11 Pro holds its $1,099 US price but rises to £1,079 in the UK, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold both take a flat $100/£100/€100 hike, pushing the Fold to $1,899/£1,799/€1,999 — the most expensive Pixel Google has ever sold. In India, the Pixel 11 starts at ₹89,999, the Pro at ₹1,19,999, the Pro XL at ₹1,34,999, and the Pro Fold — sold there in a single 512GB configuration — at ₹1,86,999.
Tensor G6: The 2nm Shrink Leaks Warned About Actually Landed As Predicted
Our pre-launch coverage flagged early Geekbench listings showing Tensor G6 barely ahead of Tensor G5 despite the move to a 2nm process — and Google's own keynote claims mostly confirm that framing rather than contradict it. The company advertises roughly 20% faster and 20% more power-efficient performance plus a 50% faster TPU for on-device Gemini tasks, all real gains, but nothing close to the generational leap the process shrink alone might suggest. The chip pairs with a new Titan M3 security co-processor, and Google has finally dropped its long-running Samsung Exynos modem in favour of an in-house-integrated alternative.
The Fold's Disputed Battery Number Is Settled — and It Grew, Not Shrank
Ahead of launch, leaks disagreed on whether the Pixel 11 Pro Fold's battery was shrinking from the Pixel 10 Pro Fold's 5,015mAh cell. Google's confirmed spec sheet puts it at 4,806mAh — smaller than that particular Pixel 10 Pro Fold figure in our records, though official generation-over-generation comparisons should be read carefully given how differently manufacturers define "typical" versus rated capacity. What is unambiguous is the bigger structural story: the Pro Fold gains genuine IP68 dust resistance for the first time, rather than the splash-only IPX8 rating every prior Pixel Fold shipped with, alongside a composite back Google says survives a bend test that would shatter glass — in a chassis about 10% lighter than its predecessor.
The Real Camera News Is on the Base Pixel 11, Not the Pro Models
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL carry over familiar 50MP wide, 48MP ultrawide and 48MP telephoto hardware from the Pixel 10 Pro generation, with the headline change being software: Pro Zoom now reaches 120x, up from 100x last year, and a new Magic Capture mode uses Gemini to automatically time shutter presses around smiles and movement. The more interesting hardware change sits on the standard Pixel 11, which gains a real 10.8MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom for the first time — previous base-tier Pixels made do with just a wide and ultrawide camera. It also picks up 25W wireless charging, another first for the non-Pro tier.
The Bottom Line
This is a genuinely incremental Pixel generation dressed up with real, if narrow, upgrades: a brighter display and tougher glass across the Pro models, a first-ever telephoto lens on the base Pixel, and true IP68 protection on the Fold. None of it changes the calculus for a Pixel 10 owner. It matters more for anyone still on a Pixel 8 or earlier, or switching from iOS or another Android brand outright.
