Camera-first flagships usually mean one standout lens and a couple of afterthoughts bolted on beside it. The Vivo X300 Pro doesn't work that way. Its 200MP Zeiss-tuned periscope telephoto is the headline, but the main sensor, the chip, and the battery are all genuinely flagship-grade too — this is less a camera phone with compromises elsewhere and more a proper all-rounder that happens to have an exceptional zoom lens.
Design and Build
At 226g and 8mm thick, the X300 Pro is a substantial phone but not an unwieldy one — Vivo has kept the camera housing reasonably flat despite packing in three lenses and a periscope prism. Build quality is what you'd expect at this price: an aluminium frame, Diamond Armor Glass on the front, and IP68/IP69 sealing against dust and water. It's a handsome, understated phone in any of its four launch colours, with none of the gaudy camera-bump theatrics some rivals go for.
Display
The 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel runs at QHD+ resolution with adaptive refresh up to 120Hz, and peaks at a claimed 4,500 nits — comfortably bright enough to stay legible in direct sun. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision are both supported, and colour accuracy out of the box is excellent. There's nothing experimental here; it's simply one of the best panels on the market right now.
Camera
This is why the X300 Pro exists. The 50MP main sensor is competent but not the story — the 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPB periscope telephoto is. It offers a genuine 85mm focal length with Zeiss APO (apochromatic) optics, meaning less colour fringing at the edges of the frame than a typical periscope lens, plus telephoto macro focusing that lets you get close-up shots at 3.5x zoom rather than switching to a dedicated macro lens. In good light, 3.5x through 10x shots hold detail remarkably well; even past that, the sheer sensor resolution keeps digital zoom shots usable in a way most phones can't match. The 50MP ultrawide is solid if unremarkable, and the 50MP selfie camera with autofocus is a nice touch for group shots.
Performance
MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 is a genuine flagship chip, not a mid-tier part wearing a flagship badge — sustained performance through extended gaming sessions is strong, and everyday responsiveness is essentially instant. OriginOS 6 on top of Android 16 is polished, if occasionally over-eager with its own app suggestions and notifications; a few minutes in settings pares that back easily enough.
Battery and Charging
The 6,510mAh silicon-carbon cell delivers comfortably through a full day of heavy use, with genuine two-day stamina for lighter users. 90W wired charging fills the phone from empty in under 40 minutes, and 40W wireless charging — plus reverse wireless for topping up accessories — is a genuinely rare combination at this price point.
